Being a student in Milwaukee has taught me one thing...Weather.com is a life saver. Waking up in the morning and having to figure out what I am going to wear to class or work that day is dependent on what type of precipitation is falling or how fast the wind is gusting. Weather.com provides me with that information.
But my comments about this website have to do not with the great weather updates they provide me, but rather the interactive advertising that gets in the way of the information I am seeking. In particular, Weather.com has been allowing advertisers to use these interactive ads; ones that begin to "rain" (in the case of New! Fruit Chew Mentos) or "drive" (in the case of the Mercedes Benz SUV) all over your screen. While I appreciate the idea of having exciting ads right in my face, I do not appreciate the fact that they interfere with my daily weather report.
