Are You Ready For Some Football?!

In homes across the country today, chili is being heated up, chips are being poured into bowls and the final decorations of mini paper footballs are being hung up...all for the biggest sports event in America: the Superbowl.

The game has become so much more than just the two teams playing, though. It is more about the many circuses that lead up to the big game: the parties, the high priced tickets, the sponsors, the half-time talent and most of all, the commercials.

With 30-second ad spots going for as much as $3 million dollars, this television event calls for some of the best and most creative advertisements ever seen. These are the commercials that people will talk about for at least the next few months. But are the commercials that good?

After watching a sneak peek of the Superbowl commercials on creative.com, I wasn't that impressed. In fact, I have already heard of a couple of the commercials being pulled due to content.

So as I watch the Superbowl commercials today, in between stirring chili and making bruschetta, I will be waiting for a commercial that holds my attention and actually makes me think to myself, "That was an awesome commercial!"
